Sharp Consultancy are currently working alongside a well-known market leading specialist based in the Sheffield area who are looking for a Group Financial Accountant to join the Head Office function, to lead the Group's financial reporting processes, witha clear career path towards a leadership/management role within the next 2 years.
Our client is a specialist manufacturer operating internationally with a strong growth plan, including acquisitions and organic growth with a key investment plan for R&D and ground-breaking production processes.
You will be reporting directly into the UK Financial Controller who will offer significant support and mentoring to aid your progression. You will initially join to support the technical and reporting activities for the business but with a clear directive totake ownership of and then lead the Group Financial reporting function.
As well as working closely with the Group CFO you will also work with multiple business stakeholders including board directors and will take responsibility for key projects as your role grows and develops.
You must be a qualified accountant or at the least close to qualifying, preferably having qualified within Audit or Accounting at a professional accountancy practice.
This is a development role and will suit a first-time mover, any experience of VAT and statutory accounting would be beneficial although not essential and as well as offering an excellent package with very strong benefits, the client can also offer an outstandingbusiness environment with excellent benefits and a strong career development programme.
