Group Financial Accountant - 18 month Contract £55,000 plus bonus and Benefits
My client is a well-established European business operating in the logistics sector. An experienced Group Accountant is required to join their finance team based in Doncaster on a fixed term contract for eighteen months. The team are based in Doncaster butworking a hybrid model however you would need to work from Doncaster around two days per week.
Working in this key role you will be required to ensure the highest standards of integrity and adherence to group accounting policies and regulatory standards, the accurate timing of annual and statutory accounts and the monthly group reporting for all theUK legal entities.
You will also be responsible for managing members of the finance team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintenance of the General Ledger accounts for the UK Group
- Preparation of quarterly management and annual audited UK GAAP consolidated accounts for the Group.
- Management of the process to produce monthly DB Group reporting accurately to the highest quality and within strict deadlines
- Manage the Group Finance team in preparation of the annual statutory accounts for the group.
The Person
- Ideally you will be ACA or ACC qualified accountant with an expert knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP. Knowledge of defined benefit pension schemes an advantage
- Strong knowledge of IFRS 16
- A minimum of 2/3 years post qualification in industry
