**HR Advisor (temp to perm)**

Initial 10-week temporary contract which can be fully remote, opportunity to go permanent after 10 weeks which will then be a hybrid, permanent role.

**Location**:Epsom (hybrid and flexible working)

**Salary**:£16 - £18.50ph

**Hours**:9-5 Monday - Friday

Our client is looking for an HR Advisor who will provide a comprehensive people advisory service to designated client groups and will support projects that seek to continually improve our HR processes and practices.

**Main responsibilities**:
This role provides people advisory support and guidance to their designated departments. This will include but will not be limited to:

- Holding regular meetings with stakeholders to review team-level people priorities and plans.
- Leading on employee relations issues, including performance management, disciplinary and grievance, absence management, liaison with the union and occupational health referrals.
- Oversight of monthly payroll administration with the HR Assistant
- Responsible for ensuring that all employee changes are updated and processed, in co-ordination with the HR Assistant.
- Supporting the effective implementation of HR processes within departments and taking a lead on the design and communications of designated HR processes e.g. the annual and mid-year review processes
- The HR Adviser will support their departments to monitor sickness absence and specific cases, and to ensure this is reported effectively. This role will interpret monthly HR metrics within their client group and will raise any issues or opportunities todo more with the HR Manager.
- Ad hoc management of the end-to-end recruitment and selection process for key roles as required to support recruitment team during peak times.

**Skills and Experience Required**:

- Strong employee relations casework experience
- Up to date employment law
- Demonstrable experience of providing excellent people advisory
- Demonstrable ability to use HR knowledge and skills to guide, advise and influence regarding best practice and policies and processes
- Experience of developing or redesigning HR policies and processes to meet the needs of the organisation and employees
- Evidence of building relationships with external suppliers
- The ability to liaise effectively with staff at all levels and to challenge perceptions, ways of working and decision making where appropriate
- Able to take responsibility for their own continued professional development, keeping up to date with current trends in recruitment, market insights and legislation
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, including ability to write clear and concise presentations, reports and other documents to support their work activity
- Well-developed skills in Excel and other databases, with the ability to report on and analyse data essential, with experience of using various HR systems.
