**About the role**:
**JOB TITLE**:Digital Social Media Coordinator (Channels)

**RESPONSIBLE TO**:Senior Social Media Manager

**ABOUT THE ROLE**:schuh is one of the UK’s leading fashion footwear retailers and following significant digital growth, we are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Social Media Coordinator to join the Digital Marketing team.

**MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Work with the Senior Social Media Manager and content teams to coordinate schuh’s cross-channel social marketing communications from planning through to publication and reporting, inclusive of amplification via paid social ads.
- Responsible for community management across key channels, consistently monitoring to react, respond and engage. You’ll work effectively with Customer Experience & PR teams to manage relevant social contact, escalating responses as necessary.
- Develop a growing TikTok channel, working collaboratively across Digital & Content teams to engage our consumer. You will keep up to date with emerging trends, sounds and hooks to create effective vertical video assets in support of digital trading strategy for vertical video platforms.
- Work with wider Marketing and Digital Trade teams to coordinate social content calendar. Align planning to the annual marketing calendar, weekly production schedule and business commercial objectives. Maintain visibility of social activity to all relevant departments across the business.
- Ensure all necessary internal signoff and 3rd party approvals are in place when creating, building & publishing content to social channels, in collaboration with Senior Social Media Manager and other key stakeholders.
- Follow content creation guidelines for web accessibility when building and publishing content. Ensure activity planned and delivered across channels meets best practice.
- Create weekly reports for social coverage. Provide ongoing data-driven review of creative performance, sharing feedback and optimisation opportunities with wider teams to continuously improve effectiveness of comms across all channels.
- Maintain awareness of the social & ecommerce budget and commercial understanding of all relevant key performance indicators.
- Support with additional social media activities as required across digital trading, retail marketing, brand purpose, PR/talent and brand partnerships campaigns.
- Maintain awareness and understanding of content and channel strategies leveraged by competitors, other brands and creators across major platforms. Stay curious about the ever-changing social media landscape.
- Work cross-functionally with key stakeholders - build rapport and relationships across all teams in the Digital, Marketing and wider business verticals. Act as a brand guardian when representing schuh, attending meetings as required with key externals including channel/platform representatives, agency teams and key branded partners.

**EXPERIENCE & BACKGROUND**
- Experience managing multiple brand comms channels in social media or similar digital/marketing role (1+ years)
- A confident, curious and customer-oriented marketer with solid understanding of social media & content best practice. You’ll have a keen interest in fashion and retail communications.
- Experience managing a brand TikTok account, capturing vertical video and editing with in-app tools to produce native vertical content that grabs attention and drives interaction in social feeds.
- Understanding of paid social and content amplification is desirable.
- Strong attention to detail, with ability to work across multiple projects and to strict deadlines.
- Inquisitive, creative and analytical thinker.
- Effective communicator & team player.

This role is part remote working, part office-based with a minimum of 2 days at our Livingston Head Office site (Neilson Square).

Neilson Square is the home of our original warehouse and distribution centre, as well as many head office functions. Situated in Livingston, our site is in-between Edinburgh and Glasgow and very easily reached by car and public transport.
