**What’s the role about?**

As a John Lewis Senior Brand Copywriter, you’ll be writing words, mostly (but not exclusively) in sentences, with the aim of making our customers say: “Oh, wow that’s actually really interesting/funny/useful/surprising.” You’ll be a guardian of our tone of voice across our stores, website and app. You’ll be the John Lewis copy team’s problem solver, idea generator, human thesaurus and grammar police - to name but a few roles.

Reporting into the Editorial Lead, you’ll be responsible for making sure John Lewis has the best copywriting in Britain. No pressure
**What will you be doing?**

You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders across the Customer directorate and wider business to understand and interpret briefs, execute our tone and ensure that everything the Brand Copywriting team writes is on brand, on time and something that will actually connect with our customers.

**Where will you be working?**

This role is based at our Victoria Head Office in London. It will involve home working and times where you will be required to work in the office. If you are offered one of our roles you can discuss with your People Manager when you will be needed to work in the office.

**What you'll have**
- Extensive experience copywriting for a global brand
- Experience writing for product-centric brands
- Experienced in brand and creative strategy
- Experienced in writing copy for brand marketing campaign, editorial and creative content
- Experienced in writing for omni-channel, store environments and social platforms

**What else could you bring?**
- Experience of copy writing for a for lifestyle brand
- Experience writing copy for e-commerce or retail brands
