**Financial Resource Management VP
London

As a Barclays, Financial Resource Management VP, you will be a part of the Resource Management Group (RMG) - Business Optimisation department, focusing on all funding, capital and balance sheet activities across Markets and Banking. You will be focused on tacticalBAU optimization as well as strategic optimization of the financial resources for all global Barclays entities. You will also help the firm navigate through a period of rapid regulatory changes.

**What will you be doing?**:

- Working with Prime business to optimize financial resource consumption (LBS, RWA, GSIB) to drive efficiencies
- Initiating and leading deep dives for Prime Management and Sales to understand the drivers of capital consumption
- Seeking efficiencies and optimise return; review and challenge of issues / opportunities.
- Evaluating large data sets, in order to turn into actionable information to influence
- Utilising product development and enhance decision metrics for risk, capital and returns assessments
- Reviewing portfolios for new and existing clients, to consider capital consumption and return profiles
- Monitoring changes in portfolio exposures, understanding and verifying rationale for such movements
- Engaging with broader supporting infrastructure functions including to implement changing capital and regulatory requirements
**What we're looking for**:

- Graduate degree in Math, Engineering, Finance or related field
- Proven experience in financial services firm or institution
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Working technical knowledge of BCBS Regulations along with knowledge of jurisdictional nuances, as well as US GAAP and IFRS considerations.
**Skills that will help you in the role**:

- Strong quantitative and analytical background, with excellent problem solving skills
- Prior experience with Business Intelligence Tools like Business Objects, Qlikview, as well as relational databases and SQL
- Knowledge of Prime and Clearing business, operating models and regulatory capital considerations.
- Ability to work independently, demonstrating ownership and ability to prioritise work under pressure
