Accounts Receivable Lead

You will be part of the Financial Control team that oversees Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Banking, Treasury, Payroll, and month end management accounts production, amongst a range of other tasks.
As a start up, our Finance system was basic and relied heavily on Excel. As we scale up we're looking to put in place a market leading system with significant automation which will help the Finance team become and remain world class for the next 5+ years.
The Accounts Receivable Lead is a new and exciting role which will play a pivotal part in our scale up journey.
**Who you are**
- You're a seasoned Accounts Receivable Lead
- Experienced in billing, credit control and AR month end processes
- Comfortable with large Excel workbooks with intermediate level formula
- Experience working with Sage is Desirable but not essential
- You've worked in a similar role within a fast-paced organisation
- Conscientious, taking responsibility for all tasks allocated
- A self-starter who is structured and organised, able to handle the competing pressures of immediate tasks and alongside longer-term projects.
- You're comfortable working in a scale up business, where time is critical, and things change frequently
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
**What you'll do**
- Lead, provide inspiration and have a real energy to drive individuals and teams
- Provide direction and support to a team
- You'll liaise with both stakeholders in the customer facing side of the business and wider finance team
- Be responsible for monthly billing to customers and related financial postings/reconciliations
- Own the overall Credit Collection process
- Manage one direct report, a Credit Controller
- Work with the Credit Controller to investigate and resolve disputes promptly
- Support and improve current systems and processes
- Work with the team members towards achieving the company's targets
