**Job Description**:
The Accounts Receivable Team Lead will work within a team of 7 and report to the Accounts Payable & Receivable Manager within the Financial Controls team. You will be responsible for the management of the Accounts Receivable & Billing team, managing credit risk and completion of day-to-day tasks within the Accounts Receivable function**. **Our accounting teams play a crucial role in keeping the business moving, and at Trainline things move at pace and we are looking for someone that will thrive working in a dynamic but fun environment.
**Team Management**
- Management of two Accounts Receivable & Billing Clerks, supporting the team and ensuring all timescales are met
- Ensure all Billing is issued within SLA’s, communicating any delays or issues with relevant teams
- Planning and organising own workload as well as the workloads of your team via weekly Order of Work
- Production and distribution of key Accounts Receivable reporting and KPI’s
- Process improvements and maintaining library of Process Notes
- Deputise in the absence of the Accounts Payable & Receivable Manager
**Accounts Receivable & Credit Control**
- Maintaining Sales Ledger and ensure credit control procedures are followed to ensure timely recovery of unpaid invoices
- Managing Credit Risk - Assessing new credit requests, conducting credit checks and agreeing credit terms and limit
- Monitoring Customer accounts - Reviewing credit limit, payment history, customer behaviour and other commercial factors
- Processing weekly Direct Debit collections
- Reviewing Customer contracts for new set ups/ Commercial changes
- Proactively work with Trainline Partner Solutions Account Managers to resolve invoice queries
- New Customer Set-Ups and Amendments
- Respond to queries via Accounts Receivable mailbox in a timely manner
- Ensure timely completion of AR and Billing Month End close
- Other ad-hoc finance tasks as required
**Qualifications**:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Credit Control role
- Experience of managing a small team
- Good Microsoft office suite experience, particularly Word and Excel skills
- Knowledge of completing Supplier reconciliations and clearing Aged Balances
- Strong numeracy skills
- Experience of International Credit Management (Desirable)
- Experience of UK and International VAT treatment (Desirable)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage own workloads
- Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines
- Proactive with a desire to continuously improve processes
- Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
- Team player with excellent attention to detail
