A sister company of The Newt in Somerset, Babylonstoren (UK) Limited imports and sells products including wine, olive oil, cured olives, non-alcoholic Bitter aperitif, tea and balsamic vinegar, Babylonstoren (UK) is a subsidiary of Babylonstoren (SA). We are a small, friendly company working out of offices on the site of The Newt.

**About the role**

An exciting opportunity within Babylonstoren, has arisen to fill a newly created merchandising role with a focus on Babylonstoren Products consisting of wine, olive oil, cured olives, non-alcoholic Bitter aperitif, tea and balsamic vinegar.

The Merchandiser will be sales orientated with an eye for detail as they will be responsible for promoting the Babylonstoren range of products within The Newt shops and restaurants, using initiatives to ensure they are placed in a position that will optimise revenue opportunities.

The role will also involve training restaurant staff on how best to present the wines and other mentioned products so a good understanding and knowledge of wines is essential, ideally you will be trained to at least WSET level 2. There will also be a certain level of admin involved in this role, so computer literacy is a must. Experience and an understanding of the logistics involved in the importation of wines would be an advantage.
