Macmillan Davies are delighted to be partnering with a highly acquisitive global group as they look to attract a HR Director to design and deliver the people strategy for 2 of their North West based SME businesses.
The Company
The group, operating within the media and telecoms space, are well renowned for acquiring, investing in and NOT disposing of businesses. They see long term value, and have an ethos to not dismantle the culture of their businesses. De centralisation isn't alarge part of their strategy.
The Role
Reporting into the Group HR Director, you will lead the HR function to define and implement a professional and commercial HR service for 2 smaller global businesses. Following recent acquisition; the organisation is now focused on strengthening the businessesand this role will act as a change agent and change leader through that process. The role is highly 'customer focused' and will require someone who is not afraid of change and who embraces the opportunity to drive programs and initiatives with visibility bothin the group and the business.
Working closely with 2 CEO's the role will involve leading a small but competent HR team encompassing HR, recruitment, H&S and facilities; you will have responsibility for providing the overall HR strategy, direction and operational leadership on a local levelbut aligned to the global/group HR strategy and corporate standards. Supporting all business regions (mainly UK and Ireland) you will partner with and coach the SLT and senior managers on business & HR Strategy, M&A activities, legislation and specific projectssuch as reward, pay review, OD. Longer term the role is expected to grow and take on responsibility for more businesses as the group expand.
About You
The successful person will be a Senior HR professional who has successfully defined and delivered complex change management programs and is an experienced facilitator and mediator at different levels of an organisation. A natural flair for working with andinfluencing a broad variety of senior business leaders is a pre requisite. You will be happy in a role which involves defining strategy, then rolling your sleeves up and getting it implemented. A background gained in a software or media or telecoms environmentwould be advantageous.
The HR Director will be able to see the long term in everything they do. We need a HR professional who is commercially driven, numerate and has a genuine curiosity about the business(es) they support. You will also be looking for further growth in your career.
What's on Offer
This position offers a salary of £90,000 - £95,000 + attractive bonus and additional benefits.
The businesses are based in the north west of England. The role can be operated remotely with an agreement to travel to the north west when required.
