**E**MEA Financing Trading and Sales Assistant**
**London**

As a Barclays EMEA Financing Trading and Sales Assistant, you will be part of the Equity Financing desk providing a tailored suite of products to meet highly competitive and demanding client demands. These typically include institutional investors such as hedge funds and asset managers. The desk is split into Sales and Trading teams, and covers a variety of functions including secured financing, stock lending and Equity synthetics PB and Cash PB.

**What will you be doing?**
- Supporting Stock Borrowing and Lending and Secured Financing flows
- Booking trades, including close-outs, rolls and life-cycling events
- Meeting the high expectations of both Sales and Trading desks
- Managing workflow in an effective and efficient manner
- Creating an operational shield for Stock Borrowing and Lending and Funding desks - assisting operational stakeholders (MO and Settlements) in the coordination of break resolution
- Possessing risk and commercial awareness both supporting BAU activity and risk items (breaks and IT outages)
- Leading optimisation to streamline processes and reduce associated costs - technical expertise and mentality to push automation and efficiency

**What we’re looking for**:

- A good communicator - clarity, brevity and precision
- Equity Financing experience
- Effective team player and demonstrate ownership and prioritise work under pressure
- Keen to broaden cross-product knowledge and experience

**Skills that will help you in the role**:

- Prior product knowledge in Equity Financing
- Previous Banking experience and familiarity with the financial regulatory landscape
- Wide knowledge of fixed Income products and Financing transactions
- Team player - flexibility and willingness to take on responsibilities that best serve the Team’s overall output

**Where will you be working?**
In the heart of Canary Wharf, our headquarters at Churchill Place boasts onsite amenities such as; a gym, staff restaurant and deli bar, and is easily accessible by tube and bus links. With a population of around 5000 staff the atmosphere is second to none with a real buzz being created around the offices within.
