**Role Description**:
Bank of America is hiring a Trader Assistant that supports the EMEA & CEEMEA Credit desks.

The TA will be responsible for, amongst other things, booking trades, trade validation, trade maintenances, portfolio review, break investigation & resolution, report preparation as well as control and query work.

The role is well suited to a conscientious, hardworking and motivated individual. The successful applicant will work closely with Front Office & other stakeholders across a variety of asset classes.

**The Team**:
The Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities (FICC) & Derivative Core Operations (FDCO) team perform end to end trade control, confirmation and settlements processes across FICC businesses and provides utility OTC derivative confirmation and settlement services for non FICC businesses.

Within FDCO, the teams provide multiple services such as FICC trade control, Foreign Exchange (FX) electronic matching and settlement, Over the Counter (OTC) derivative confirmation and settlement, and commodities operations.

**Core Skills**:

- Book new trades, adhering to the necessary regulatory framework and legal entity strategy
- Work with support partners to make necessary amendments to trades
- Monitor and process time sensitive requests relating to trade bookings, settlement issues and/or downstream feeds
- Work with desk to monitor and minimize FX exposure
- Submit house orders and client orders in CDS Credit Event Auctions
- Resolve Risk and P&L issues - Work closely with Front Office, Risk and P&L to resolve issues in a timely manner
- Resolving client issues - working with sales and client management teams to ensure that client issues are addressed and resolved.
- Resolve queries for the trading desk and related support partners
- Cooperate with trading, sales, COO teams and often other LOB partners to enable the business
- Build and maintain relationships across senior business leads and support partners
- Involvement is various initiatives across both the business and trade control organization
**Requirement**:

- Good attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work diligently and independently, drive to ensure necessary work is completed to a high standard
- Understanding of the regulatory environment, legal entity strategy and the importance of robust internal controls
- Communicates and partners well with others to accomplish goals.
- Working knowledge of bonds, CDS, IRS and equity products is an advantage
- Proficient in Excel. Bloomberg skills are also useful
- Ideally 7+ years of trading floor experience
