**Qualified Group Care Training Officer (40 Hours a week - Full Time)**
**Salary Grading for this role - £25,847.54 per annum**
We are looking to recruit an experienced and qualified group training officer who is also an accredited assessor, to join our training team to ensure that the training process is followed from induction, through to shadowing and ongoing annual mandatory training. The training officer will ensure that the workforce has been adequately trained and are enrolled onto RQF programmes in a timely manner. They will have oversight of workforce qualification progress and provide support and guidance to ensure that training and workforce development targets are met.

**Responsibilities of the Care Training Officer**
- Support staff through their personal development plans.
- Induct new staff into the business.
- Support staff to achieve the training learning outcomes through action planning, assessment feedback and portfolio building.
- Produce an action plan for the completion of the QCF/RQF Diploma programmes with the learners.
- Organise training activities, in-house and external.
- Ensure all staff have a personal development plan.
- Liaise with external training providers to organise training.
- Deliver in-house training.
- Input onto the company and other databases where required all short and full course bookings and ensure these are kept up-to-date.
- Evaluate all short course evaluations and report back appropriately.
- Process paperwork for all completed courses.
- Preparation of test papers and required documentation to be returned to awarding bodies.
- Auditing and quality of paperwork that comes into the office.
- Delivering induction training.
- Producing statistics as required by the Senior Management.
- Source funded training opportunities.
**Essential Criteria for the Care Training Officer Role Includes**:
- Qualified to a minimum level 3 teaching/training qualification.
- Qualified and experienced assessor.
- Hold level 5 or above in health and Social Care/ Adult Care.
- Good working knowledge of current legislation and health and safety.
- We are looking for an experienced Care Training Officer that has at least 1years experience of training in residential care, domiciliary care setting and/or specialist residential school setting.
- Suitable skills, qualifications and experience to deliver the Care Certificate, care qualifications and mandatory training.
- Excellent organisational & communication skills and also be IT literate.
- Demonstrable track record in the delivery of Health & Social Care NVQ/QCF Diplomas and CQC mandatory programmes.
- Possess a warm, mature, good interpersonal skills, and good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work flexibly including weekends when required.
**Other Factors**
- Willingness to work flexibly and to keep knowledge and skills up to date.
- Hold or be prepared to be qualified to deliver first aid and pediatric first aid.
- Ready to commit to the role in its entirety.
- Driver essential with Full UK Drivers Licence.

Witham training centre is a sister company to Witham Valley Care Group and Witham Prospect School. Witham Valley Care Group provides residential and domiciliary care service to adults who have severe learning disabilities, autism spectrum and other complex care needs. Witham Valley Care Group currently employs over 70 staff in various roles throughout the organisation.
Witham Prospect School is a newly established independent specialist residential care and education organisation that has been created to meet the needs of children and young people aged between 11 and 19 years who have severe learning disabilities, autism spectrum and other complex needs. The school currently employs in excess of 70 staff with a projected rise within the next year of a further 80 staff.
