Hours of work will be 8.00am-4:30pm Monday - Thursday / 8.00am-3.00pm Friday.

Main Duties:

- Support in embedding a Health & Safety and Environmental culture, based upon continuous evaluation, auditing and improvement
- Undertake internal EH&S inspections and risk assessments
- Undertake investigations of H&S Incidents/Accidents and environmental incidents.
- Ensure customer HSEQ requirements are fully understood and are met within given contracts
- Produce KPI's for the business
- Undertake HSEQ Induction, toolbox talks and raise HSEQ awareness, as required
- Supplier/Subcontractor quality management, including approval, flow-down of requirements, monitoring and corrective action management.
- Use 8D, to progress non-conformances, identify root cause, corrective & preventive actions to closure.
- Undertake PFMEA to aid the prediction and prevention of quality defects
- Generate and maintain contract quality plans and conduct supplier audits
- Perform first article inspections, supplier acceptance, witnessing testing and product release audits
- Supervise incoming Quality Control, developing inspection techniques.

Key Skills & Experience:

- Internal/Lead Auditor and ISO 14001 and/or ISO 9001 desirable
- Recognised Health and Safety Certification (NEBOSH / IOSH)
- Experience in Environmental Management
- Previous HS&E experience within complex/bespoke electronic/mechanical manufacturing environment
- Experience of, PPAP and Quality Planning would be an advantageous
- Educated to degree or HNC level in either a safety or engineering discipline
- Proactive, able to work autonomously within tight timescales managing multi-disciplined projects/tasks
- Computer literate, with good communication skills both written and verbal
