The team of 9 case handlers conducts all civil litigation on behalf of clients of the firm but has 3 main areas of specialism:
- Contentious Trusts and Probate;
- Contentious Court of Protection; and
- Privacy disputes (i.e. Data Protection breaches and defamation).
We are looking to invest in a naturally self-motivated individual with an energy and passion for these areas of law and who wants to grow, develop and be mentored into our established team.

This is a two year training contract focused in this discipline with a view to qualifying with the team as a Private Dispute Solicitor (with potential to specialise further in respect of one of the core areas practiced by the team), equipped with the legalknowledge and skills to be a valuable member and contributor to the team.

As a trainee in this team, you will get involved in supporting all of the solicitors in the team.Amongst other things, you will be involved in all stages of the litigation process on the larger cases conducted by the senior members of the team. As youprogress you will be given the opportunity to conduct your own cases with a view to you qualifying with a full caseload. The team is second to none in terms of its marketing expertise and the Head of Department is keen to train all new members of the teamon how to generate business. It is therefore essential that any applicant is willing to engage in this process and is keen to get involved.

We encourage client contact for our junior team members and you will be encouraged to take responsibility for aspects of work whilst all the time ensuring you have adequate supervision and support.

Applicants interested in this exciting opportunity will have achieved a high standard of academic success in their Law degree and have passed or be within their final year of the LPC prior to the commencement of the training contract.

Existing trainees with litigation experience who wish to transfer their training contract may also be considered.

Previous work experience is not essential however experience of working in a legal or professional services environment would be advantageous.
