Leasehold and Homeownership Officer

BDS are currently recruiting for a Leasehold and Homeownership Partner to work with a Nationwide Housing Association based in their office down South in Camberley.
The role is to be part of the team that is often the first point of contact for our homeowner customers. Being a dependable member of our Homeownership team, part of our Strategy & Growth directorate, contributing to our continually improving services to homeowners.
The roles include but are not limited to;
- You will respond to enquiries from Homeowners specific to their lease or transfer ensuring they are dealt with efficiently and professionally and in a timely manner. These will include lease and transfer queries, property and scheme queries and queries regarding service charges.
- You will work in collaboration with the wider organization enabling you to provide quality services to our customers.
- You will contribute to the effective management of our schemes in line with regulations and best practice offering technical guidance where required.
- Ensure complete collaboration with Housing Services colleagues on mixed tenure schemes whilst also working closely with colleagues in the Legal, Finance and Assets and Sustainability teams.
- Proactively engage with customers to address rent and / or service charge debt, working closing with the Incomes and Arrears Officers
- Experience within Leasehold management at a Housing Association and/or managing agent with an understanding of the various workstreams relevant to lease and neighborhood management.
- A good understanding of leases, transfers, regulation and best practice.
- The ability to work independently, as part of a small team and with the wider organization via cross
- departmental working.
- An organized, professional individual with the ability to priorities and organize workload whilst managing high volumes of queries from both customers and colleagues.
You must be a driver with accesses to a vehicle
This is full time permanent position.
Salary in circa of £38,000per annum
