Creative Designer

**Creative Designer - 12 months FTC**

**The role**

Funky Pigeon values creativity and design is at the heart of our business, it’s a fast paced environment with a big ambition for growth and speed to market.
You’ll work closely with our design team and design manager to deliver creative solutions to briefs from the rest of the business and support in all aspects of the design process.

In this role, you will manage the setup of new cards & products and suppliers, liaising with suppliers on new line/range details to maintain accurate information including the update of price changes and licensing requirements. You will provide daily and weekly reports on sales to help drive performance and assist the Category Manager in product range selection. You will support the team with general administration and management of ranges on the website, and work with our design and visual merchandising teams to plan new product launches.
You’ll spend time understanding the retail landscape, undertaking competitor reviews and pricing audits as well as researching trends.

**The Accountabilities**
- Create and develop product and packaging that is commercial and appeals to the Funky Pigeon customer
- Ensure creative output meets the specified brief
- Ensuring work is delivered to tight deadlines with high quality.
- Create innovative designs that are to brief for both product and packaging across cards, gifts and packaging ranges
- Have an understanding of current market trends
- Ensure design integrity is followed through to final print.

**Skills**
- Experience in product / packaging design ideally in retail
- Able to work effectively under pressure
- Proven experience within a creative/art working environment (agency or in-house) is essential.
- Full working knowledge of CS6, Illustrator, Photoshop & InDesign
- A good understanding of print and print processes would be highly desirable
