A Touch of Colour is a successful and fast-growing painting and decorating business established and managed by its owner. The owner needs an experienced office administrator to manage the day-to-day processes on which the business relies e.g. booking site visits, invoicing, allocating jobs to tradesmen, post on social media, diary management).

**The Role**

Primary duties are:

- Review current processes, systems etc and simplify/rationalise where possible, to improve efficiency.
- Help the owner manage his diary, priorities and commitments.
- Help plan and manage efficient use of the workforce’s time.
- Deal with customer and supplier communications promptly and effectively, as they arise.

**The Person**

You will have previous Office Admin experience preferably in a painting & decorating, building or similar trade environment. You are organised, reliable, great at dealing with customers, staff and suppliers, and you have a good sense of humour. Posses excellent literacy skills. Specifically, you will have:

- Familiarity with MS Word and good knowledge of Excel.
- Good basic understanding of bookkeeping, and P&L accounting. (We do have an accountant.)
- Experience to creating reports e.g. to show company’s KPI performance.
- Honesty, discretion, and a self-starting attitude, good sense of humour.

Hours: 4 hours per day initially, may require more after 3-6 months.
9am - 1pm Mon - Friday.

(This may eventually become a full-time job as the business grows)

Employment Status: You will be self-employed, and able to supply your own mobile phone.

Location: You will primarily work from the owner’s in-home office' in the Kingston area.

Part-time hours: 20 per week
