**The Peer Mentor Coordinator will be responsible for**:

- Recruitment and training Peer Mentors
- Managing and supervising Peer Mentors
- Support the Activity Facilitator with the delivery of mentoring related interventions
- Working with Peer Mentors to devise new interventions and sessions at the request of the SMT
- Attending meetings to develop new opportunities for the involvement of Peer Mentors
- Being an integral part of the intervention team; engaging prospective Peer Mentors from current participants and the local community and encouraging Peer Mentor support.

**Accountabilities;**
- Manage and maintain systems to provide a comprehensive Peer Mentoring service
- Develop and deliver an annual Peer Mentoring development plan;
- Assess the suitability and risk levels of referrals to the Peer Mentor training
- Recruit, train and supervise new Peer Mentors
- Support Peer Mentors in the delivery of interventions
- Work with Support Workers and Activity Facilitators to identify ways in which Peer Mentors can support other group activities
- Manage Peer Mentors to ensure that standards of excellence are continually met and that Peer Mentors are able to cope with the demands placed upon them - this includes continually assessing their progress and levels of risk as it relates to reoffending
- Attend Team Meetings with local stakeholders to promote the Peer Mentor service
- Promote a strong brand and ensure that Ingeus become an integral part of the local communities and businesses
- Develop and maintain strong internal and external relationships
- Maintain a sound knowledge of contract requirements
- Ensure adherence to quality processes and procedures
- Under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 each employee has a responsibility to Health and Safety and must also adhere to their responsibilities as laid out in the H & S policy

Please note that Transport will be required as this role will cover Durham, Darlington, Middlesbrough.
