Supporting the UK Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager with reporting and budgeting activities whilst studying for your CIMA qualification.

In this key appointment within our growing FP&A team, you’ll be supporting the monthly financial review and commentary and working with the wider business to drive performance and enhance profitability.

**You will also**:

- Work with the reporting team to ensure that the numbers prepared are accurate.
- Perform additional reviews to ensure performance is understood, including the impact on budget/forecast.
- Collate and prepare Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for - e.g., postage costs, labour costs and PPC spend, and support the creation of new dashboards.
- Prepare reporting packs for senior leadership and board teams, including commentary on performance vs budget/forecast.
- Provide business partnering support to the wider business through regular dialogue, challenging and encouraging stakeholders to help the Group achieve its financial goals.
- Perform and co-ordinate detailed reviews and support the preparation of business cases for new initiatives or investments.
- Work with colleagues in FP&A to implement a new planning and reporting solution, supporting migration from our existing system, UAT and implementation.

As a trainee you will be provided with focused coaching and support from colleagues and managers, as well as on the job training and a study package.

You will be highly ambitious with a real passion for not just getting the numbers right, but understanding ‘the why’ and the ‘so what’. You will also be keen to leverage your understanding of our business into actionable insights that help drive business performance.

An excellent communicator, you will be able to distil complex topics into simple language and have strong interpersonal skills to maintain the working relationships needed for effective business partnering.

**To succeed you will also need**:

- Good general education to at least National Level 3 (A levels or equivalent)
- Demonstrable experience in an entry level Finance role and/or a relevant Finance graduate degree.
- The ability and resilience to work at pace to ensure fast and accurate reporting in a complicated, private-equity backed, fast-growing business.
- Strong MS Excel skills and high standards of accuracy
- The willingness and ability to be flexible, both in terms of hours worked in peak periods and occasional travel to other sites.

This role is based from our Head Office in Goring by Sea, but we offer flexible, hybrid working. It is expected that you will typically spend two or three days each week in the office.
