**Job Description**:

As a Head of Sales and Key Accounts you’ll be responsible for leading the sales, key account and specialist sales teams within the certification business. You’ll provide audit, certification, and accreditation services and generate new customers and new profitable revenues in line with the UK Responsible Sales & Marketing Policy.

**Key Accountabilities;**
- Engage in sales activities, directly with customers, new and existing, to generate revenues
- Meet individual personal sales objectives set within: Sales Bonus Scheme
- Create compelling business cases, quotes and tenders
- Engage with colleagues promoting all SGS services, across business / Services and interact with other SGS businesses to share customers and maximise cross sell and upsell opportunities
- Travel, as required, for meetings and presentations
- You’ll ensure that reports are generating incremental revenues for SGS to support meeting budgetary and strategic goals
- Using the CRM system to manage and record sales activities

**Qualifications**:
To be successful in this role, you’ll need and in depth understanding of the market or a similar transferrable market sector and sales qualification or the ability to demonstrate sales experience
- Strong customer facing direct sales focus with a drive to identify and secure new business
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to develop positive working relationships at all levels
- Commercial acumen, able to establish need and create value price models against needs
- Full clean driving licence for use in the UK

Desirable
- Understanding of future market drivers in the Testing, Inspection and Certification (TIC) sector
- Public Sector procurement
- Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in a relevant scientific, technical, engineering discipline
- Project Management qualification such as Prince2, Six Sigma, CAPM, PMP
- Customer Service qualification such as NVQ, Practitioner, Institute of Customer Service
