**Your New Role**
Our Quality team is dedicated to developing, implementing and maintaining an effective quality, health, safety and environment management system that drives a quality mindset and continuous improvement, safe systems of work and behavioural practices at all levels of the organisation.
Reporting into our Aerospace & Defence CEO, you will be responsible for development and implementation of a quality assurance strategy for a significant area of the Survitec business. It drives activity to gather, analyse and interpret quality assurance data to advise on improvement to key / critical business processes within that area.
**What You Can Expect from the Role**
- Implements and maintains Survitec compliance programme, ensuring Quality systems and procedures are in accordance with global framework and local regulation
- Implements systems and practices needed to monitor and assure compliance with Global IMS policies, group and customer requirements. Compiles statistical analysis of activity and outcomes and recommendations for improvement
- Advises leadership team(S) on global Quality framework, steps needed to improve Quality performance and on any compliance issues
- Conducts audits according to the quality audit calendar, ensuring appropriate corrective actions are agreed with business leaders and colleagues. Resolves issues arising from audits and refers serious or contentious issues to the Managing Director and Director of QHSE
- Communicates the local Quality action plan, explaining how this relates to the business strategy and action plan and the broader Survitec mission and vision. Ensures all allocated colleagues are aware of their responsibilities towards group and local policy and process and motivates people to achieve local business goals and drive continuous improvement
- Leads and/or participates in quality incident or non-conformance investigations and customer complaints. Ensures Quality related incidents are recorded and reported appropriately. Ensures lessons are learned and uses findings to identify and drive improvements
- Monitors supplier CAPA and improvement actions
- Leads by example, carrying out projects to drive continuous improvement of the overall Quality systems and processes
- Conducts Annual Management Review to schedule, enabling compilation of the Global Review
- Use Survitec’s formal development framework to identify the team's individual development needs, planning and implementing actions to build their capabilities. Provides training or coaching to others throughout the organisation to increase awareness and capability in quality and HSE management, enabling others to improve performance and fulfil personal potential
- Manages and reports on team performance. Sets appropriate performance objectives for direct reports and holds them accountable for achieving these. Takes appropriate corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of team and personal objectives
- Delivers a budget for quality activity

**Skills**
**Essential**
- 10+ years’ experience in a Head of or equivalent level
- Aerospace & Defence industry essential
- Deep understanding of the quality standards and regulations associated with the A&D industry
