**Your New Role**

Are you an experienced Manufacturing production professional who wishes to build a career within the world’s largest survival technology provider? Are you driven and resilient?

Our Aerospace & Defence department now has an exciting opportunity for a new Head of Production on a full time, permanent basis. Situated at our Ellesmere Port site.

Reporting into the General Manager, you will lead the production operations and planning processes for existing and new Survitec product lines. You will recommend improvements to production processes, methods and support implementation of new production technology. You will focus on operational priorities, analyse performance, motivate people to deliver and drive operational excellence.

**What You Can Expect from the Role**

**Key Responsibilities and accountabilities**:

- ** **Lead the development and implementation of Survitec’s production business plan, in line with overall manufacturing strategy, anticipating complexissues, challenges and opportunities
- Ensure the operational plan is successfully deployed through production teams, developing and agreeing appropriate manpower budgets and schedules key activities, ensuring integration with other elements of the organisation
- Drive operational excellence in the delivery of the production process, ensuring best in class standards are achieved and upheld
- Identify and communicate the actions needed to implement manufacturing / production strategy and business plans
- Manage a team of production managers and production planners ensuring they work to plan and deliver overall production priorities
- Develop and deliver change management plans to drive production improvement in process, systems, and working practices that drive efficiency, quality and safety outcomes aligned to the Survitec’s overall mission, values, and strategy
- Communicate the function's strategy and business plan and its relationship to Survitec’s mission, vision and values
- Identify and manage stakeholders, finding out their needs, issues and concerns and reacting to these by leading and coordinating the development of stakeholder engagement plans to support the communication of business information and decisions
- Manage and report on the performance of the business area
- Define the team structure and skill set required for success
- Identify the capabilities needed to meet the current and emerging production business needs

**The Experience, Qualifications and Skills You Will Have**

**Essential Criteria**
- ** **6+ years of production management/ production lead experience
- Manufacturing experience required
- Educated to University Degree Level
- 3+ years of experience supervising and directing people and other resources to achieve specific end results
