**Your New Role**

Are you an experienced Manufacturing production professional who wishes to build a career within the world’s largest survival technology provider? Are you driven and resilient?

Our Aerospace & Defence department now has an exciting opportunity for a new Head of Production on a full time, permanent basis. Situated at our Ellesmere Port site.

Reporting into the General Manager, you will lead the production operations and planning processes for existing and new Survitec product lines. You will recommend improvements to production processes, methods and support implementation of new production technology. You will focus on operational priorities, analyse performance, motivate people to deliver and drive operational excellence.

**What You Can Expect from the Role**

**Key Responsibilities and accountabilities**:

- **Lead the development and implementation ofSurvitec’s productionbusinessplan, in line with overallmanufacturing strategy, anticipating complexissues,challengesand opportunities
- Ensuretheoperational plan issuccessfullydeployed through productionteams, developingand agreeingappropriatemanpowerbudgetsand scheduleskeyactivities, ensuring integration withother elements oftheorganisation
- Drive operational excellencein thedeliveryof theproductionprocess,ensuring bestin class standardsareachievedand upheld
- Identifyand communicate theactions needed toimplement manufacturing/ production strategyand businessplans
- Managea team ofproduction managersand production plannersensuringtheyworktoplan and deliver overall production priorities
- Developand deliverchange managementplans to drive productionimprovementin process, systems,and working practicesthat driveefficiency,qualityandsafetyoutcomesalignedto the Survitec’soverall mission,values, andstrategy
- Communicatethe function's strategyand businessplan anditsrelationship toSurvitec’s mission,visionandvalues
- Identifyandmanagestakeholders, finding outtheirneeds,issues and concerns and reacting to these by leading and coordinating the development of stakeholder engagement plans to support the communication of business information and decisions
- Manage and reportontheperformance of thebusinessarea
- Definetheteamstructureand skill setrequired forsuccess
- Identifythecapabilitiesneeded tomeetthecurrentand emergingproduction business needs

**The Experience, Qualifications and Skills You Will Have**

**Essential Criteria**
- **6+ years of production management/ production lead experience
- Manufacturing experience required
- Educated to University Degree Level
- 3+ years of experience supervising and directing people and other resources to achieve specific end results
