We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Underwriter to join our established and experienced team here at RSA on a hybrid basis.

This will be based out of our Glasgow office full time, for the first 6 months, then you have the option to work hybrid.

**Your Role**
As an Assistant Underwriter, you will collaborate with insurance brokers and other professionals across the UK to identify and secure new opportunities and support profitable growth by assessing the likelihood of future claims. You will make risk-reduction recommendations on insurance premiums, and draft contracts.

Your responsibilities will include issuing policies and processing premiums. You will provide excellent customer service by learning your customers' needs, explaining technical information, and convincing them of the benefits of our products.

In addition, you will be dealing with highly detailed queries from customers and engaging with the relevant stakeholders and departments.

You will assist on underwriting policies of the following lines: Property, Packages & Liability.

**About You**
Ideally, you will have had some exposure to the insurance industry, or have some knowledge, although, this is not essential.

You will be passionate and motivated with a hardworking, ‘can do’ attitude and a passion for delivering excellent customer service.

You will have a high degree of accuracy and a keen eye for detail. You do not need previous insurance experience; however, you will be able to demonstrate your passion for delivering world-class customer service.
