**key responsibilities**
- Deliver tailored mental health support to clients with complex or high-risk needs.
- Supervise and mentor Support Workers day to day, ensuring they deliver consistent and effective care.
- Conduct and review detailed risk assessments, care plans and progress reports for clients.
- Act as the primary contact for families and other professionals involved in a client's support.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with safeguarding procedures and organisational policies
- Provide on the job support, feedback and identification of training needs for the team of support workers.
- Support the Director in maintaining service standards and meeting key performance indicators.
- Manage the on call weekend phone on a rota basis.

**Skills and Qualifications**
- Compassionate, patient and able to build strong relationships with clients.
- Excellent communication, active listening and interpersonal skills.
- High levels of self-management and self-awareness, ensuring client and support worker boundaries are strictly adhered to.
- Advanced problem solving skills, especially in challenging situations.
- Excellent organisational and writing skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and adapt to changing client needs.
- Knowledge of safeguarding, mental health legislation and best practice in support work.
- Basic IT literacy for record keeping and communication.

**Requirements**:

- A valid UK driving licence, access to a reliable vehicle and business insurance.
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent (or willingness to work towards this) is desirable but not essential.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in mental health support worker or social care role.
- **Additional Information**_
- This role requires on site work at client homes and in the community in Rotherham, South Yorkshire and surrounding areas._
- There are 2 roles available, part time 20-35 hours per week, with hours available covering Monday to Sunday on a rota basis._
- The company is open to discussing availability and flexibility in working dates/times to meet the needs of business, service users and employees._
