**Our Purpose**

This is a exciting opportunity to become a part of our Public Health Directorate of North East Lincolnshire Council, in the Wellbeing Service as a Wellbeing Worker. Our purpose is to provide group and one to one support to North East Lincolnshire residents, ensuring the best support is provided.

**Your Role**

This role will provide holistic support to a selection of local children and their families to help them achieve healthy weight and providing support to the Wellbeing Specialist in terms of making bookings, setting up clinics and sessions.

The Wellbeing Worker role principally centres on providing person centred support to individuals requiring support with their general health and wellbeing.

The role will involve using a coaching approach to proactively engage and build supportive relationships with target populations in North East Lincolnshire, understanding “Who and what matters to them” encouraging and motivating children and families, helping to build confidence, self-esteem, and resilience. We work to empower our clients to take control of and improve their health and wellbeing, which will include managing a varied caseload.

**About You**

We are looking for someone who is dynamic and enthusiastic with a high level of autonomy, excellent communication skills, able to work on your own initiative and as part of a dynamic team. You must have proven experience of excellent listening and communication skills and understand empathy, unconditional positive regard and client autonomy is key to effective and positive support of our programmes and their development.
