**The Role**
As a Digital Communications Officer, you will be responsible for improving our digital presence and engaging with our audiences using various channels. You will manage our website, create engaging content and digital campaigns, and promote inclusive communication. This role requires creativity, technical skills, and an understanding of how to effectively reach and engage a diverse customer base.
**What You’ll Be Doing**:
Key Responsibilities:
- Digital Content Management: Develop and maintain our website and social media channels, ensuring all content is up-to-date, engaging, and aligned with our brand and objectives.
- Digital Marketing: Use marketing software such as Mailchimp and Hootsuite to create, distribute and analyse/measure digital content and campaigns.
- Online Events: Plan, organise, and execute digital and online events that engage and inform different audiences.
- Website Management: Manage the website using a Content Management System (CMS), ensuring a seamless user experience and accessibility for all visitors.
- Inclusive Communication: Promote and use inclusive/accessible communication methods, including animation, video, and bulletins, to reach a diverse audience.
- Content Creation: Write and edit compelling content for various digital platforms, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and engagement.
- Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, ensuring deadlines are met and goals are achieved.
- Problem Solving: Analyse problems, assess potential solutions, and make sound decisions to enhance our digital communication offer.
- Relationship Building: Build and maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders, fostering collaboration and positive outcomes.
- Strategic planning: Ensure digital activities align with organisational goals and objectives.
**Who We’re Looking For**:
- Experience:
- Significant experience in digital communications, including website and social media management.
- Proficiency in using marketing software such as Mailchimp and Hootsuite.
- Experience planning and organising digital/online events and campaigns.
- Experience managing a website using a CMS.
- Experience promoting and using inclusive/accessible communication techniques such as animation, video, and bulletins.
- ** **Skills**:
- Excellent writing and editing skills with a creative flair.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to establish positive relationships and influence others.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
- IT literate and confident in using online technologies.
