To ensure the smooth running of the service, that all activities are attended in a timely and efficient manner in order for Clients to utilise the activities offered
- To professionally lead the care team during any span of duty, ensuring that a safe, effective and efficient care service is maintained which meets the needs of Service Users
- Provide leadership and support for staff and act as a champion for residents’ safety and dignity.
- To maintain skills and knowledge and ensure that care is delivered according to latest guidelines and best practice evidence available.
- Ensure the ongoing safety of Service Users, staff and visitors through systematic assessment, monitoring and reviewing processes
- Promote the professional image of the services through excellent communication, appropriate behaviour and professional appearance.
- Ensure that clear and accurate records and communication systems relating to care delivery are maintained and effectively used
- Communicate any ideas/concerns to Senior Management in a timely manner
- Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed by the necessary staff member
- To set individual goals for clients, implement them and document outcomes
- Take the lead to help Support Workers understand their responsibilities and by doing so ensure that safe, effective, caring, responsive and well led support and care is delivered at all times.
- To ensure the provision of high-quality care to Service Users in our care
- To provide induction training and shadowing for new Support Workers in line with Company standards and policies.
- To ensure that all Support workers are capable and confident to carry out their roles by identifying development and training needs
- To maintain the integrity and accuracy of all data stored ensuring all records are correctly recorded and information is kept up to date at all times

- Encourage and assist service users to achieve optimum independence, with due regard for their privacy, confidentiality, dignity, health, safety, welfare, personal choice, lifestyle, nutrition, hydration, independence, self-esteem, physical comfort and social and emotional needs;
- To reflect on practice and recommend change re development of the service
- To be aware of changing support needs and adapt accordingly.
- Develop warm and trusting relationships with service users to encourage them to express their needs, views and concerns.
- Ensure that work equipment is safe and properly used
- Remain vigilant to health and safety hazards and take appropriate action where these pose a risk to employees, service users or others
- Provide leadership and support for care staff and act as a champion for clients safety and dignity.
- Supervise care staff on a day to day basis and record notes for staff formal supervision processes.
- Demand high quality care delivery focused on clients individually assessed needs and choices.
- Promote the professional image of the services through excellent communication, appropriate behaviour and conduct
- Attend regular meetings with senior staff to discuss the service
- Do the weekly shift Rota/Transport Rota
- Cover staff shortages and adapt rota where necessary

**Job Type**: Permanent

**Salary**: £27,000.00-£32,000.00 per year

- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Bushey: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- providing care: 3 years (required)
- supervisory: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

- NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care (preferred)
- Driving License (required)
