Job Summary:

Livelykicks Football is seeking an experienced, passionate, and dynamic Head Coach to lead our youth football programmes. The Head Coach will oversee the coaching staff and be responsible for delivering high-level training to children aged 5–12. This role involves designing and executing structured football sessions, mentoring assistant coaches, and ensuring the development of players through our academy pathway, with opportunities for exposure to professional academies.

The ideal candidate will have a strong football coaching background, excellent leadership skills, and a dedication to fostering a positive and professional environment for both players and staff.

Duties

  • Design and implement training sessions tailored to the needs of individuals/teams.
  • Conduct regular training sessions, ensuring all participants are engaged and motivated.
  • Educate players on the rules of the sport, techniques, and strategies to enhance their performance.
  • Foster a positive team culture that promotes respect, discipline, and sportsmanship among players.
  • Monitor players progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their skills.
  • Organise and manage competitive events, including scheduling matches and coordinating logistics.
  • Collaborate with other coaching staff to ensure a cohesive approach to athlete development.
  • Maintain communication with parents or guardians regarding athlete progress and team activities.

Experience

  • Proven experience in sports coaching, preferably at a competitive level.
  • Strong knowledge of the sport being coached, including rules, techniques, and strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate and motivate athletes effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also taking initiative as a leader.
  • Previous experience in managing teams or leading training sessions is advantageous.

Requirements:

  • FA Level 1 or 2 Coaching Badge (or equivalent).
  • Previous experience coaching youth football, ideally in a lead or senior coaching role.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • A passion for developing young players both on and off the pitch.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Enhanced DBS check and safeguarding certification (or willing to obtain).
