We are looking for a highly organised individual who can get stuck in leading a small team of Welcome staff and volunteers.As Welcome Manager, you’ll be a role model for how it should be done to ensure everyone plays their part in a warm and welcome teamculture, resulting in a property Welsh welcome like no other.
As the most senior person in the Welcome team, you’ll empower your team to provide inspirational experiences for all, whether they are welcoming visitors in admissions or sharing stories about our conservation and community work, bringing Penrhyn to life.Visitors will have a personal and tailored experience, to meet their wants and needs
Shift patterns include weekend/bank holiday working and require duty management. This 12-month opportunity is perfect for anyone wanting to develop their experience within Management, Heritage, and Tourism.

Penrhyn Castle is a Victorian house disguised as a huge neo-Norman castle, with a varied programme of events that bring this unique property to life inside the castle and in the outdoors in our stunning 60-acre grounds.Its history is staged upon slavery,slate, splendour, and strikes and we are proud to continue telling these stories with our local communities.

What you'll be doing You’ll have overall responsibility for the team, and their safety and working practices, working closely with the Visitor Experience & Operations Manager to develop the site offer. You’ll have responsibility for the day-to-day operationof the welcome area to ensure the delivery of the highest standards of service and visitor experience, using sound judgement and decision making, in line with National Trust guidelines and policies. Using your creativity and communication skills both to inspireand motivate your staff and volunteers to provide the friendly face of the National Trust to thousands of visitors. **

Who we're looking for - Experience of managing a team
- Ability to manage and construct team rotas
- Confident leader, adaptable and responsive under pressure
- Experience of income generation, financial performance, and payroll costs
- Proficiency in creating on site temporary signage
- Good practical experience in visitor business, in tourist, heritage or relevant visitor services environment
