Ilford, United Kingdom Care2rise Limited Full time

Do you have a passion for positively impacting children and young people?

We are looking for a select group of creative, energetic and enthusiastic individuals to join our Ofsted regulated Residential Care Home for young people aged 10-18. This excellent opportunity involves working alongside children and young people with Emotional, Behavioural and Developmental difficulties.

This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills within residential childcare. You will work with disadvantaged children aged 10 to 18 years, many of whom have a history of trauma, neglect or abuse, supporting them with all aspects of their growth and development. You will help to provide a safe, nurturing, caring and therapeutic home environment that supports all their needs and enables them to thrive and flourish. This will include everyday activities, such as taking them to school, cleaning and cooking, and supporting and encouraging them with play and home-based activities, as well as supporting them to engage with a range of external activities to promote and help them fulfil their social, emotional, physical, creative and spiritual needs.

The role can be incredibly rewarding but can also be challenging at times. You will be there during the good times, as well as the difficult times, and will need to show resilience and determination to overcome the hurdles, and support them with their emotions and behaviours.

You will have some experience working with children with emotional and behavioural needs within a residential home environment (we particularly welcome applicants with a Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People). You will need to have a good understanding of the impact of trauma on young people and the challenges they face.

Shift work applies, including sleep-ins for additional pay.
