Youth Support Worker

**About the Role**:
We’re looking for a committed and emotionally intelligent Support Worker to join our semi-independent homes for young people aged 16+.
This isn’t just a shift-based job, it’s a meaningful career empowering young people to build independence, resilience, and life skills as they transition into adulthood.
You’ll be part of a supportive, professional team that provides consistent support and structure. The kind of environment where young people can genuinely thrive.
**What You’ll Be Doing**:
- Supporting young people (16+) in semi-independent living to develop life skills and confidence
- Acting as a positive role model, someone who listens, challenges, and encourages
- Supporting with behaviour management and emotional regulation
- Writing clear daily logs, handovers, and progress reports
- Liaising with social workers, families, and professionals to ensure consistent support
- Planning and participating in activities, outings, and key work sessions
- Promoting safety, respect, and inclusion at all times
**What We’re Looking For**:
- Experience supporting young people in care, education, or youth work settings
- Strong communication, empathy, and professionalism
- Resilience and emotional maturity - able to stay calm under pressure
- Organised and confident with written documentation
- A genuine commitment to helping young people achieve their goals
**Shift Pattern**:
This role involves **a mix of day shifts, evening shifts, and sleep-ins** on a rota basis.
Applicants **must be flexible and able to work across weekdays and weekends.** Consistency is vital for the young people we support.
If you have set days or times you can’t work, this role may not be suitable.

Pay: £12.50 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
