**Assistant Food and Beverage Manager (F&B)**with experience of staff management, good understanding of stock control and EPOS systems and excellent communication skills is required for a well-established and prestigious private members clubbased in South West London.

**SALARY**:£40,000 per annum + Benefits (see below)

**LOCATION**:South West London

**JOB TYPE**:Full-Time, Permanent

**WORKING HOURS**:40 hours per week - this will include evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays

**JOB OVERVIEW**

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an Assistant Food and Beverage Manager (F&B)with experience of staff management, good understanding of stock control and EPOS systems and excellent communication skills.

Working as the Assistant Food and Beverage Manager (F&B) you will take responsibility to operate control and develop the food & beverage department on a day to day basis and support with the running of events as well as any other catering operation withinthe Club.

As Assistant Food and Beverage Manager (F&B) you will liaise closely with the Executive Chef ensuring the Food and Beverage teams work effectively together.

**DUTIES**

Your duties as a Assistant Food and Beverage Manager (F&B)will include:

- Manage the F&B operation of the Club Café, Juice Bar, Piazza Coffee shop and the banqueting operation
- Recruitment, induction, and training of the front of house Food & Beverage team including the management of the flow training system
- Ensure that the highest standards of care to members are provided
- Assist with the control of the Food & Beverage departments costs with responsibility for managing spending and developing revenue streams
- Implement and management of processes relating to stock and revenue control at the site
- Produce statistics on sales and product sales for each area of the business
- Respond to all member feedback including comment cards within 48 hours
- Liaise with source suppliers for Food & Beverage services
- Development and innovation of Food & Beverage offers throughout the Club to meet the needs and demands of the membership and guests
- Ensure the Club always meets H&S and Food Safety Management requirements
- Planning and sign off of departmental rotas and payroll for Food & Beverage FOH areas
- Deputising for the Operations Manager Food & Beverage in their absence
- Attend House Committee Meetings when required
- Providing finance with costs for all internal events that take place within the department

**CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS**
- Relevant catering qualifications. i.e. HND/Degree or equivalent in hospitality and catering management
- Varied experience at assistant management level, in similar high profile, high turnover sites
- Experience of managing all aspects of staff; including permanent, casual and seasonal staff contracts and sound HR knowledge
- Train the trainer qualification with proven ability to train and develop staff to ensure quality service and standards are continuously met
- Commercially minded, understanding seasonal trends of the industry, networking and developing contacts within the industry for the purpose of sharing knowledge
- Exceptional customer care skills including respecting internal and external customers
- Able to demonstrate an understanding of the factors affecting commercial performance and results together with experience of a broad range of commercial F&B products and service
- Intermediate food and hygiene qualifications and Level 3 food safety
- Understanding of stock control and EPOS systems
- Sound understanding of P&L management and control and IT skills
- Excellent communicator, both verbal and written
- Calm under pressure and a positive attitude
- Attention to detail
- Proven ability to motivate and manage a large catering team
