This role will be based in our **Wilmslow** office however, you will be able to work a blend of both home and office each week. You’ll be made to feel part of your new team by your Line Manager, and colleagues through regular contact and virtual interaction.

**What would your day look Like?**
- Detailed knowledge of Specialist buy-to-let lending in order to interpret and asses all key factors, demonstrating comprehension for the level of risk and supporting collateral.
- Ability to underwrite manually according to both residential and buy-to-let lending policies.
- Underwrite to external scheme rules or third party requirements, such as government schemes (HTB) or high LTV product policies.
- Interpretation of mortgage market and economic factors to ensure external risk factors are understood relative to each case underwritten
- Understanding securities and the legal process required to complete a mortgage transaction to ensure risk is moderated.
- Identification of potential external fraud, and scheme misuse to protect the bank against possible bad debts and ensure the customer is fully aware of their responsibilities under their mortgage T&Cs

**What do we expect from you?**
- Knowledge of the mortgage market - including owner occupied, private rental sectors.
- Experience of working with Intermediaries and direct customers
- Ability to adapt to change, deliver in a fast paced environment
- Having a proactive approach, with a keen desire to provide excellent customer service, and delivery for our customers
