Hammersmith, United Kingdom Hammersmith & Fulham Council Full time

At Hammersmith & Fulham, we are ambitious in reforming the council to ensure this is a place for everybody. Within the Finance & Governance department, our ambition is to be 'ruthlessly financially efficient' in everything that we do, to ensure that our residents and services are receiving the best value for money whilst challenging old-fashioned thinking, unfairness and removing waste where possible.

At H&F we want to deliver the digital and information services our residents and colleagues deserve. Each team member is a key contributor to the successful delivery of our objectives and activities. This is an exciting and challenging time to join H&F as we face an unprecedented level of technology enabled business change and transformation that Digital services will be at the forefront in supporting. Together, as part of our Information Management Team, you'll help us deliver the council's priorities.

As an Information Management Officer, you will be the first point of contact within the Information Management Team (IMT). You'll provide advice and guidance on the councils IM related policies and processes, as well as maintaining the information security incident log to make sure that all incidents reported to the team are accurately recorded and assessed to contain, recover, and mitigate risks to our systems, services and residents.

You'll provide authoritative guidance to the council on records management best practices, including initiatives to index physical records through engagement with multiple service areas. You'll lead on the adoption of H&F's Information Asset Register software, supporting its use, coordinating updates, and delivering training to system users.

We estimate interviews will take place the week commencing Monday 28th November using MS Teams. As part of the interview, we will ask you to complete a short assessment activity.

Our mission is to be the best council. To do this we need the best people to help build our vision. If you’re looking to develop your career in a fast-paced, professional environment whilst making a difference, then we look forward to hearing from you.
