A successful subsidiary business of a large US based multinational organization are seeking a Finance Director to join their Head Office in Chertsey offering a salary of up to £110,000.They are a leading European based distributor of chemicals and relatedinnovative products and services and have an exciting plan of expansion through growth and acquisition.
This position will report into the Global Controller based in the US, with strong accountability to the Managing Director who is based in the UK and will have direct responsibility over the finance and accounting functions of the subsidiary business and itsrelated entities.
Finance Director, Key Duties and Responsibilities:

- Managing a Finance & Accounting department within a Shared Service Environment for the European operation.
- Finance and accounting lead for the organization.
- Provide insightful financial analysis to commercial business leaders to drive sound financial decision in order to increase profitability.
- Maintaining accounting policies, control systems and processes in line with US public company standards (Sarbanes-Oxley), statutory reporting, liaison with external and internal auditors and cost accounting.
- Budgeting and management reporting.
- Fiscal tax compliance of all legal entities across Europe (Corporate Tax, VAT, Intrastat,).
- Management of receivables and credit risks, analysis of credit exposure and implementing risk management strategies.
- Cash management, including relationships with financial institutions and the Corporate Treasury department.

The successful Finance Director will:

- Be a Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Have experience of US GAAP and IFRS Reporting.
- Have experience of managing a finance function across several European entities.
- Have an ability to effectively and efficiently plan, organize, coordinate and direct all finance and accounting activities related to agood mid sized business
- Demonstrate strong organizational and leadership skills, with proven ability to effectively plan, implement and administer programs to achieve business objectives
- Have a proven track record of managing change with strong competencies in influencing and consultation skills
