Robert Half is partnering with an internationally renowned technical products business, to support them in the hire of a newly created Financial Controller role. This role will sit as no.2 to the FD and will lead a team of five, working alongside the transactionalfinance team in the delivery management/financial reporting, budgeting and planning/analysis, while also supporting the group finance team with entity level financial controls, statutory reporting and operational finance management while closely supportingthe Finance Director

**The Role**

Reporting directly to a top tier FD, the Financial Controller will be critical in driving management, financial and statutory reporting which supports decision making while also delivering core monthly and periodic reporting. Key responsibilities will include:
Key duties will include:

- Oversee production of UK&I and European entities management accounts and financial reporting
- Manage a finance team of 5 (qualified and non-qualified/studiers)
- Analysis of expenditure across the international entities to identify potential cost savings
- Manage the relationships with group accounting and tax, assist in entity corporate tax returns and other compliance/audit requirements
- Lead the building if annual budgets at an entity level.
- Review and approve balance sheet reconciliations
- Forex management and reporting, intercompany transaction management
- Lead the closure and preparation of year end statutory accounts and manage company audits ensuring optimum results are achieved
- Oversee compliance with all statutory requirements
- Build strong relationships with the broader finance, operations and group teams
- Working with various parts of the business to identify and implement process improvement opportunities
- Support ad-hoc business improvement projects e.g systems changes/enhancements.

**Your Profile**

The successful Financial Controller will be a formally qualified (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) accountant or with prior experience leading and developing teams. You will ideally have a strong management accounting background (ideally in a multi entity environment) alliedto technical and statutory accounting knowledge.

You will need to be a strong business partner who can both engage and influence senior management while also being an empathetic leader with strong emotional intelligence.

**Salary & Benefits**

This Financial Controller role will pay £75,000-£85,000 plus bonus, pension and healthcare. WFH is available 3 days per week and there is plentiful parking on site as well as strong train links.
