**The Role**: Mathewson and Rosemond are seeking an Internal Sales Assistant who will be responsible for managing a customer portfolio, consolidating, and generating business within the targeted product streams, this will involve working with the Senior Sales Manager to further establish relationships, and facilitate enhanced growth in line with expected sales targets using established operating methods.

The role will include various duties from following established phone protocols, customer liaising, learning all aspects of sales order processing including product knowledge.

The post holder will gain substantial experience in the field of commercial plumbing and press fitting sales. They will also be expected to demonstrate a good working knowledge of the catchment area and potential customer base after agreed probation period.

The post holder will be confident, proactive, customer focused and promote professionalism in their work.

**Duties Include**:

- Demonstrate advanced product knowledge,
- Making sales appointments with new and existing clients to assess needs and offer product solutions,
- Liaise with Operations Team to ensure availability of goods, communicate with Despatch/warehouse team to ensure orders are being despatched in an efficient manner at the correct times.
- Generating new leads,
- After Sale follow up calls with customers to ensure satisfaction with goods and service.
- Working with the marketing department to develop new sales strategies,
- Adheres to all company policies and procedures regarding sales and ethics,
- Attend and assist with Staff Development/product sessions,
- Identify competition in the region,
- Constantly seeking new ways to make products appeal to both loyal and new customers,
- Provide Quotations and Type Sales Orders into ERP System as required by Commercial Sales Team within expected time allowances,
- Communicate with Purchasing Department to ensure goods required for customers are ordered to the correct schedules in line with customer lead times,
- Ensure company Health and Safety policy is adhered to by all staff,
- Attending staff meetings and relevant training courses,
- Any other duties pertinent to the post.

Please note we expect this list of duties to increase and develop as the post holder gains knowledge and experience of the business. On occasion the post holder may be required to work overtime or weekends to support operations.

Pay: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
