**Job summary**:
Fleet Operational Standards and Training Ships (FOST(S)) trains the ships of the Royal Navy, Royal Fleet Auxiliary, and those of our international partners to deliver highly trained and capable ships to meet the operational demands that they may be required to face. This training is delivered to individual Force Elements either in the UK or globally. The FOST(S) brand is internationally recognised as the gold standard provider of Operational Sea Training (OST) and is highly sought after. The ability to provide complex, live, multi-unit warfighting training, delivered by highly experienced and specialist staff, under-pinned by a comprehensive but unobtrusive safety system, is unmatched.

FOST(S) is a training provider under the command of Commander FOST (COMFOST) who reports to the Fleet Commander. FOST(S) has its centre of gravity in HM Naval Base Devonport, Plymouth, with training hubs located in Portsmouth and Faslane.

This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.

**Job description**:
The Travel Coord will book travel and accommodation for FOST personnel in the execution of their duties in a timely and efficient manner. You will be responsible for ensuring they arrive at their destination, home or abroad, refreshed, and able to expertly deliver training to the standards they are globally recognised for. This is a dynamic and fast paced role which will require the successful applicant to be able to continually prioritise their workload and manage change.

You will be required to maintain a periodic on call status within a roster (1 in 3), which will attract an on call allowance.

**Person specification**:
Duties will include, but are not limited to:

- Book Travel to assist FOST Staff in the execution of their duties. Ensure all travel is booked via the official process and on receipt of an approved BCF.
- Keep an accurate record of travel and accommodation expenses on the Budget Sheet and update with any changes.
- Produce cost comparison estimates of potential trips.
- Allocate Service vehicles on production of an approved BCF ensuring accurate completion of the FMT paperwork.
- MyDrive and Clarity interrogation for mandatory Driver Documentation.
- Ensure Driver vehicle checks are completed and annotated on the FMT paperwork before issuing the vehicle.
- Issue fuel cards and Driver packs.
- Create/Amend and Archive HRG and Clarity profiles.
