As a Procurement Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the purchasing department in various administrative tasks and ensuring the smooth operation of the procurement process. Your duties will include:
- Obtain quotations for consumables and minor production items from the MRP.
- Raise requisitions using the system computer through to order placement.
- Responsible for all stationery & computer consumables for the business.
- Maintain the company workwear requirements records.
- Order all industrial gas bottle requirements.
- Follow purchasing policies to comply with Quality accreditation requirements.
- Maintain supplier performance records and identify any problem suppliers.
- Ensure any missing certification for goods are requested urgently.
- Expedition of orders.
- Checking Acknowledgements of orders.
- Responsible for sub con orders.
- General purchasing administration.
- Cover for Logistics Co-ordinator whilst on holiday.
- Responsible for ensuring drawings and specifications sent with orders.
- Maintain and re-order PPE stock cupboard.
- Enter receipts onto system computer.
Raise ECN’s, Concessions when required
