What You'll be Involved in

As a Purchasing Assistant at Teledyne Energetics, you will be an essential part of our business support team. You will work closely with the Purchasing Manager, Manufacturing Manager and Engineering Manager to ensure materials, equipment and services are procured on time, to a high standard and efficiently. There will be opportunity for further professional training and certification as part of your career development.

Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Issuing purchase orders to suppliers and manufacturers.- Maintenance of material master data in the MRP system.- Communicating with the team on supply issues and action status.- Following up with suppliers.- Assisting in the negotiation of contracts with major suppliers.- Assisting with supplier audits.

What We're Looking for in You

Other desirable skills and experience include:
- Experienced in use of ERP / MRP software, preferably SAP.- Strong organisational and time management skills.- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintain high accuracy.- Qualification in business studies, purchasing, logistics, marketing or supply chain management.

Due to the nature of this role, you must be able to gain full UK Security clearance once in the business.
