A large, global business is looking for a fully qualified Project Accountant to join them in this commercial facing role.

Duties will include:

- Managing the project costing system, project structure and coding
- Implementing new procedures to manage cost allocation and reporting
- Assisting with pricing and contract negotiation
- Developing financial reporting to track profit performance
- Preparing budgets with key stakeholders
- Recommending improvements in control processes
- Preparing full monthly management accounts
- Assisting with flash forecasting for sales and profitability forecasts
- Preparing quarterly forecasts and budgets
- Reviewing accrued income and cost accruals from projects
- Collaborating with project managers
- Close project accounts on project completion

Qualification, experience, and skills required:

- Fully or part qualified accountant
- Experienced Project Accountant
- Experience of people management and development
- Experience of managing large-scale projects
- Excellent communicator
- Strong IT skills

As Project Accountant, you will lead on all accounting for high-value projects. You will implement new procedures and look for areas of continuous improvement. You will have autonomy and will drive project accounting, reporting, and control across the business.You will be a key player in supporting Project Managers and Divisional Directors across multiple sites. You will provide valuable commercial insight and add value in this leadership role.
