**Salary**: £25k pro rata
**Working Hours**: Part-Time 20 hours
**Contract Type**: Permanent
**Job Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Payroll Processing using iTrent**:
- Process accurate and timely payroll for all employees using **iTrent**, ensuring correct calculation of salaries, overtime, bonuses, and statutory deductions (e.g., tax, National Insurance, pensions).
- Process employee starter, leaver, and contractual changes on the iTrent system, ensuring data is correctly updated.
- Manage statutory payments (sick pay, maternity pay, holiday pay, paternity pay) within the iTrent system.
- Reconcile payroll data in iTrent to ensure accuracy before final processing.
- **iTrent System Management**:
- Maintain and update employee records on iTrent, ensuring all payroll data is accurate and up to date.
- Leverage iTrent’s reporting features to generate reports on payroll, tax, and pension contributions as required by management.
- Train and support other team members in using iTrent, ensuring smooth payroll operations.
- **HMRC Compliance and Reporting**:
- Ensure that payroll is processed in compliance with UK tax laws, including PAYE (Pay As You Earn), National Insurance, and pension contributions.
- Submit Real-Time Information (RTI) to HMRC using iTrent, ensuring all filings are accurate and timely.
- Administer year-end processes, including producing P60s and P11Ds through iTrent.
- **Pension Scheme Administration**:
- Administer employee pension contributions and auto-enrolment through the iTrent system, ensuring compliance with pension regulations.
- Liaise with pension providers to resolve any issues related to employee contributions.
- **Payroll Queries and Issue Resolution**:
- Respond to employee payroll queries, providing clear and accurate explanations regarding pay, deductions, and other payroll-related issues.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or errors in payroll promptly.
- **Reporting and Analysis**:
- Produce regular payroll reports and provide data analysis for senior management, HR, and finance departments.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting payroll costs by analysing trends in compensation, taxes, and benefits.
- **General Administration**:
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll documents and records.
- Provide ad-hoc payroll-related administrative support to the HR and Finance teams as required.
**Skills and Qualifications**:
- **Essential**:
- **Experience with iTrent** payroll system is essential, including payroll processing, reporting, and system administration.
- Proven experience in a payroll administration role with a strong understanding of UK payroll and tax legislation.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy when managing large volumes of data.
- Experience with statutory payments and deductions (e.g., sick pay, maternity pay, pensions, PAYE).
- Strong communication skills to handle employee queries and collaborate with other departments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (for data analysis and reporting).
- Ability to work independently and manage payroll deadlines.
- **Desirable**:
- **CIPP qualification** or equivalent (or working towards).
- Experience with auto-enrolment pension schemes.
- Knowledge of other HR systems (e.g., Workday,WageStream) is a plus.
- Previous experience in a fast-paced environment managing payroll for a large workforce.
