Service Administrator/service Coordinator

iGene have an exciting opportunity to take up the position of Company Administrator/Service Coordinator for iGene’s Digital Autopsy service based at our head office in Sheffield. iGene have pioneered the provision of dedicated Digital Autopsy scanning facilities to provide a professional post-mortem CT service to the office of Her Majesty’s Coroner and we have already helped thousands of bereaved families.
We are looking for the right person to support our service department in assisting with administration duties. Duties and responsibilities will include:
- Register new patient referrals, ensuring information is accurately input and all confidential information is dealt with appropriately
- Act as first point of contact for incoming telephone enquiries
- Update the internal scan management system with case relevant information and updates
- Scan post/upload documents
- Support in coordinating the daily transport worklists and arranging appointments
- Communicate clearly with bereaved families when required, ensuring empathy and professionalism at all times
- Complete ad-hoc administration projects
- Excellent communication skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Proficient user of Word and Excel
- Previous experience working in the funeral industry or medical setting preferred but not essential as full training will be provided
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required for this post as an important part of this role will be working in tandem with our service team. In return we offer a competitive salary, free onsite parking and 25 days annual leave entitlement which increases during length of service.
