**Lorien Global are working exclusively with a large financial services organisation with a view to recruit an FP&A Planning Accountant on a 12 month fixed-term contract to join their busy Finance function. The role can be based either from eitherTelford or Edinburgh.**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Planning and delivery management of the Annual Operating Plan and projection cycle including: detailed delivery planning, highlighting risks and dependencies, managing changes to requirements and replanning appropriately, ensuring appropriate governanceand controls are in place to ensure the accuracy and validity of submissions
- Production of Annual Operating Plans and projections for the Group focusing on the following metrics: IFRS, Assets under Administration and Flows.
- Preparation of detailed analysis to explain the business drivers for the projected result and how this compares to expectation and previous projections.
- Completion of all supporting Annual Operating Plan and projection outputs including submission templates and Management Information
- Maintain knowledge and understanding of the Group of Entities, business written and performance drivers in order to ensure a comprehensive consultancy service provided to business decision makers.
- As required, lead, develop, coach and mentor others to maximise their contribution and ensure they are fairly rewarded.
- Communicating complex accounting/finance procedures and principles with multiple stakeholders across the business
- Regularly working to defined and tight timescales whilst maintaining professional standards.
- Balancing competing priorities on different pieces of work in challenging timescales.
- Ensuring a continually high quality of output.
- Influencing decisions across the organisation teams where priorities and interests are often conflicting.

**Person Specification**

**Essential**
- Qualified accountant with at least 3 years post qualification experience in a finance environment
- Experience within a large financial services organisation
- Experience of working within a regulatory environment
- Experience in implementation of new financial systems and/or processes
- Experience of staff supervision and coaching
- Proven experience in delivering value added MI and insight.
- Proven experience in influencing Cross Site Teams
