**Lorien Global are working exclusively with a large financial services organisation with a view to recruit an FP&A MI Accountant on a 12 month fixed-term contract to join their busy Finance function. The role can be based either from either Telfordor Edinburgh.**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Perform detailed review of monthly performance estimates and supporting analysis and provide appropriate challenge to ensure reported performance is accurate and well explained
- Prepare IFRS and Assets under Administration monthly MI submission templates and supporting commentary to explain monthly performance estimate and variance to actual quarterly performance, Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and projections.
- Ensure IFRS, AuA and SII monthly performance estimates are prepared on a consistent basis
- Prepare professional and compelling MI packs for all key performance metrics (including Solvency II) to support the governance process
- Respond to review comments and queries on monthly MI submission
- Develop relationships with the key stakeholders/ other data owners to ensure that monthly performance estimates and variances to actual and AOP/projected results can be explained clearly and fully
- Demonstrate through the quality of monthly MI and in-depth knowledge of the company's book
- Regularly working to defined and tight timescales whilst maintaining professional standards.
- Balancing competing priorities on different pieces of work in challenging timescales.
- Ensuring a continually high quality of output.

**Person Specification**

**Essential**
- Recognised accounting qualification
- Excellent knowledge of insurance industry results drivers
- Proven experience in delivering value added MI
- Proven experience in delivering IFRS MI

**Desirable**
- Proven experience in delivering AuA MI is desirable
- Experience in Financial Accounting in a complex organisation
- Experience of working with and influencing Cross Site Teams
