**The Role

3ti is looking for a highly motivated and driven individual, to be part of a growing team, challenging targets and opportunities across complex diverse solar projects. The successful applicant will lead business development activity across commercial solardevelopments UK-wide.
We are based inLeatherhead, Surrey, with potential for flexible working arrangements including remote working and customer/site/project-based involvement throughout the UK.
**Key Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of a Business Development Manager include, but are not limited to:
- Researching, identifying, qualifying and scoping new solar car park/Papilio3 projects and development opportunities
- Working closely with the in-house marketing department to develop and manage a growing pipeline of activity across a wide client base and other key stakeholders
- Carrying out due diligence on potential counterparties and projects, creating project proposals and company presentations
- Working with the in-house commercial finance team, building project financial models and carrying out financial and technical analysis of potential projects to provide context
- Agreeing and meeting sales targets, establishing KPI’s and performance tracking
- Ensuring project proposals are successfully transitioned from initial bid and/or presentation to financial close
- Identifying technical and commercial solutions to meet client requirements and exceed expectations
- Managing and nurturing client relationships throughout the opportunity and negotiation process
- Generating, presenting and justifying internal reports to the CEO and wider board
- Maintaining the company’s CRM system and proactively managing client databases
- Researching, maintaining, and sharing good product, supplier, competitor and market knowledge
- Working closely with colleagues across project development and delivery functions to develop propositions that exceed client expectations
- Developing strong external relationships with key stakeholders throughout the market.

The key skills and qualities of a Business Development Manager are:

- The qualities required to work in a small company or start-up environment
- Commercial experience in high value solar (preferably) project development and sales Experience writing technical and commercial proposals for high value capital projects
- First class presentation skills and an eye for detail
- The ability and motivation to prioritise work, deliver on time and exceed expectations
- Excellent people skills and an ability to develop and manage long-term customer relationships
- Transactional experience, including commercial negotiations and contract structures
- A high degree of proficiency working with Office 365 (Word/Excel/PowerPoint & MS Project)
- The right to live and work in the UK with UK driving licence
