You will have the opportunity to work flexibly across Ofgem with your initial role being to work on consideration of Supplier of Last Resort Levy claims and the subsequent true-up processes. The Supplier of Last Resort (SoLR) Levy team assesses bids from energy suppliers that have acted as SoLR for payment of additional costs incurred as a result of taking on SoLR responsibilities. The team sets and maintains policy on SoLR Levy costs and makes recommendations on the bids submitted

**Job description**:

- Lead multi-disciplinary teams in a specific work area in the context of operating in a Professions and Flexible Resourcing model.
- Plan, oversee and deliver a set of work deliverables on time and to a high standard through effective project management and support of multidisciplinary team members.
- Provide inclusive team leadership by supporting and developing team members and demonstrating commitment to Ofgem values.

You will have the opportunity to work flexibly across Ofgem on a range of projects or may have a longer deployment within a team where you have in-demand specialist skills, knowledge, and expertise. Your initial role will be to work on consideration of Supplier of Last Resort Levy claims and the subsequent true-up processes.

**Person specification**:
The essential criteria for this role is:

- Proven aptitude for leadership and strong management skills, demonstrated in high pressure environment **(LEAD)**:

- Excellent oral and written communication and influencing skills, with an ability to build effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, sometimes in adversarial circumstances
- Energy sector knowledge and demonstrable understanding of the Supplier of Last Resort team and the consumer needs it serves
- Extensive experience working collaboratively with a diverse range of colleagues
- Proven experience of prioritising and managing conflicting demands on the team, and delivering quality outputs.

The desirable criteria for this role is:

- Knowledge and understanding of regulatory environment
- Strategic thinker - able to see longer term implications, and strategise how to get best outcome
