**DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES**:

- To be recognised as a SIMS expert within school, while at all times maintaining a high level of systems knowledge by attending training as necessary.
- To establish, maintain and supervise pupil enrolment systems - this includes admissions,

transfers and leavers on SIMS as well as maintaining accurate school databases of students on roll.
- Administer and follow procedure for dual registered students.
- To assist with the analysis and evaluation of data and the production of detailed reports and

information to the LA, Senior Leadership Team, Governors and outside agencies.
- To create and maintain the assessment database and ensure that assessment data held on

pupils is accurate and complete.
- To assist in the analysis of the data held in Assessment Manager and produce reports on

progress, attendance and resilience of individual pupils and cohorts of pupils at times set out

in the assessment calendar.
- To set up and manage systems for tracking the progress of pupils at each key stage in order to

includes the design and set up of aspects on SIMS as well as through Excel.
- To manage the production of termly reports to parents.
- To import new pupil data, from a variety of sources, into the system ensuring all data is

complete and accurate. Act on, and process information eg PULSE amendments and CTFs in a

timely manner.
- To maintain correct contact details with mainstream schools.
- To maintain accurate information on disadvantaged children within the SIMS database.
- To ensure that FSM information is accurate and be responsible for updating OFSM data

online.
- To set student targets according to the guidance provided.
- To prepare a new academic year in SIMS and to ensure and manage the smooth transition

from one academic year to the next within all sections of SIMS.
- To set up and maintain registration groups, allocate student memberships, tutors and Heads

of House.

- To produce tracking grid summaries from SIMS for each teacher, following data collection.
- To be responsible for the completion and submission of complex forms and statutory returns

including those required by the DfE and LA.
- To keep up to date with DfE guidance on Progress 8, Attainment 8 and any other relevant

school data initiatives.
- To maintain the website so that the information on it is current.
- To ensure that the school website is compliant with the latest statutory guidance published by

the Department for Education.
- To organise and manage bookings for parent's evenings.
- To produce and respond to correspondence as required by the Senior Leadership Team.
- To be a proactive member of the Admin Team, supporting others as required.
- To contribute to the ethos and aims of the school.
- To be aware of, and support, difference and ensure equal opportunities for all.
- To develop constructive relationships and communicate with staff, students, parents/carers,

outside agencies and professionals.
- To participate in training and other learning activities and performance development as

required.
- To recognise own strengths and areas of expertise and use these to advise and support

others.
- To perform other duties considered reasonable, that are commensurate with the grading and

designation of the post.

- have a CV must that covers the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any gaps in employment must be explained;
- Have the legal right to work in the UK.
